Well, anyway, as soon as I laid eyes upon the game I gasped in surprise, grabbed Alejandro by the arm, shook him a few times, and proceeded to admire the game in the glass case for several minutes. After this, noticing it was only around thirteen bucks, I flagged down a representative and made grabby hands until he gave me the game.
I'm not even going to front- I love this game. I like it so much better than Order of Ecclesia, which I tolerate with a bemused expression after I played it for like five minutes. I love it so much more than that flop Castlevania: Mirror of Fate for the 3DS they made a few months back, which I stopped playing since I hated it with the passion of a hundred suns. (Seriously, so bad!)
Well, anyway, the game takes place in 1944, during World War II, and some vampire dude names Brauner is trying to harness the power of Dracula's castle in order to destroy humanity 'cause humans killed his daughters. The story itself is pretty interesting, and apparently you can have three different endings, one of which is "Good." I'm assuming the other two aren't so good; I wouldn't know as I'm still on my first one. Just got to battling Dracula, as Death kills Brauner and restores Dracula's power. Then they decide to tag-team you, which is not as kinky as it sounds. My first time trying it (I was half a virgin when I met them!) I was just like lolno, fuck this, died, cried hysterically, and walked into the kitchen to eat pringles. Anyway, I'll edit this up when I pass the other endings (If I ever do, LOL).
Ultimately, this game does it job on my scale. It is totally entertaining: I spent the first week after I bought it playing consistently, in fact, I passed the first half of the game in like, three days. This is completely unheard of for me, to be honest. It passes the time, as I did not notice the movement of the sun as I played this game, so it might be a little too effective in that regard. It also isn't like that hardest thing ever- the controls are totally doable, and only a few non-essential moves require the up-down-left-jiggle-twerk-prayercirle-sacrificetosatan-fly-right-down-piroette-diagonal-left-up type combination other games have or are said to have. So this is my first game rec for anyone interested in an awesome game for simple entertainment. (Also, if you do play it- or already have- you will hate Vincent, that little asshole. I hatehatehatehate him. HE SAID HE WOULD LOWER THAT FUCKING PRICES THAT BASTARD).
P.S. It was also voted best handheld game of '06! That's how old this game is, omfg. I am just #done. I'm starting to think that I don't get out much in terms of technology OR video games.
