(Also, brownie points if anyone knows who said the quote I used as a title.)
Okay. So I know it's two days after it came out and it's so lame that I'm barely writing about it now and kind of pointless since most TV blogs have kind of beaten me to the punch. However, this is not a TV blog, and I don't generally give a shit, so meh.
Suits. Watch it.
So, the premise of this show is about a plucky young screwup who walks into an interview with a briefcase full of weed and walks out with a job and a fake law degree. Mike Ross, played by Patrick J. Adams, has an eidetic memory (perfect recall, photographic, take your pick) and impresses newly-made Senior Partner, Harvey Specter (played by Gabriel Macht), so much that Harvey ends up giving him a job, while concealing the fact that Mike never actually went to Harvard, or any law school. Mike muddles through cases, only slightly paranoid about his lack of JD, diploma, and college career, while mentored by Harvey.
One of my favorite things about this show is the cast. I fucking love them all. I mean, watching Gina Torres (of Firefly fame) play the intellectual BAMF Jessica Pearson is just several different degrees of sheer awesomeness. The cast also includes Rick Hoffman who, ironically, also played an obnoxious lawyer on the 2004 movie Cellular, Sarah Rafferty, who plays the perfect-in-every-way-possible secretary Donna, and Meghan Markle, who performs as the pretty paralegal turned love interest for Mike Ross.
Honestly, I never thought I would enjoy a legal drama so fucking much!
Also, I'm about to go all like "ThisBitchMissedTheNovela" on everyone- just FYI. Also, spoiler alert. So, if you're going to rush to your comp to watch Suits, please don't read ahead and pretend this post ends here and happy viewing. And if you already watched it or don't particularly care, go on ahead and read.
*SPOILER ALERT*
